Well, a corgi does need some bling!

I've been thinking about getting an obedience collar for Ziggy for a while now (Maggie told me she's tired of sharing), then I learned about this guy in NH who custom makes them.  I couldn't resist.  I also couldn't resist having a little "bling" added.  Ziggy doesn't have much white on him, and I thought it would look nice.

The collar arrived on Monday, and I LOVE it.  I'm a bit more impressed with it than Ziggy is.  He was hoping that the package contained more treats!

Here are some pictures...

  1. It's probably just the confidence builder he needs! He's stylin now.

  2. This one has a chain on it (martingale collar) so it can't be used for agility.

For agility one can use a buckle collar or a "snap collar" (my term for the normal, flat, synthetic collars that my dogs wear every day). The collar must not have any tags on it.

The no tags and no chains is for safety - to prevent the collar getting hung up on a piece of equipment.

I have a rolled leather buckle collar that I use for agility. It's Maggie's collar - which makes me think maybe Ziggy needs his own - can one really have too many leashes & collars? :)
